Donald Walker, O.D.

I am a Shreveport native who went to Louisiana Tech University where I met my wife. I graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1977 and have been practicing Optometry in west Shreveport for over thirty-one years.

I enjoy all aspects of eyecare, from treating infections and glaucoma to fitting bifocal and toric contact lenses.Our practice examines patients of all ages starting at age three.

I enjoy duck hunting and teaching Sunday School. I am one of the few doctors who does not play golf, so you can find me at work on Wednesday afternoons.

Jon Branton, O.D.

Our resident "Ragin' Cajun" doctor has been a provider of services with our office for over 20 years.
Dr. Branton graduated from the University of Alabama Medical Center/School of Optometry.

He is a member of The AOA, Northwest Zone of Optometry, the Optometry Association of Louisiana, and is a Fellow of the American Acadamey of Optometry.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Pat, and has one adult son.

Susan Timon, Office Manager

I am a wife and mother of three adult children and six grandchildren. When first employed at Eyes & Eyewear, I had never worn glasses or contact lens.
Learning about the field of Optometry has been a challenge and an adventure. It's been twenty-five years now and I've experienced a little bit of it all.

Being office manager for such a terrific staff is easy. Working for such a wonderful doctor is definitely a perk! Most of us have worked together for many years and have become family. It's now been almost half of my life since I was hired and I'm having the pleasure of seeing a second generation coming through our doors. The children we saw when I first started working here are now bringing their own children to have their eyes examined.

I have truly been blessed to be part of such a wonderful clinic. I look forward to seeing each of you for many more years before retirement.

Sadie Walker, Accounting

Sadie is married to our doctor and does all our bookkeeping. That means she's not only Dr. Walker's helpmate and right hand, she's ours, too!

Kendra White, Front Office/Insurance Specialist

When you come to Eyes and Eyewear I am one of the first faces you will see...I work the front desk and from time to time dispense glasses. Working here is like working with family except there's no crazy aunt that tries to kiss you on the mouth haha! I love my job and thankful that I can work with such Godly women and men.

When I'm not here, I am with my wonderful hubby Brandon. We enjoy going to church, hanging out with friends and anything outdoors.

Kendall Spano, Contact Lens Technician

2009 marked my first year with Eyes & Eyewear. I love working here, it's like a big family. One aspect of my new job is ordering all the contact lenses needed for the office. I enjoy every part of my job.

In my spare time I play softball, enjoy being active both in and outdoors, and love to spend time with my family and my two babies, Tiah and Taya, toy chihuahuas.

I graduated from Southwood High School in 2005.

I look forward to meeting all the Eyes & Eyewear patients.

Barbara Head, Optician/Dispensing

2010 marked the 18 year anniversary of my employment at our clinic. The spirit within our office and the support and friendship we all share make each day at work a blessing for me.

I work in dispensing and love helping patients find that perfect frame they've been longing for.

I was born and bred in Alabama, and have two children and three grandchildren. When not working, I enjoy tennis, traveling with my husband on our motorcycle, camping, and cheering on my favorite college team...roll tide!
